( MR ) CHASE DEAN RITTER | ||
DATE OF BIRTH: | 05/01/199 ( 17 ) | MALE |
PHYSICAL: | Inexplicably, red hair seems to warrant shame. For Chase, it wasn't any different. While teenagers would dye their hair for a few months of purely red locks, he'd tug a beanie on and hope people mistook it for brown. Those who have seen his red hair would agree that mistaking it for brown isn't always easy. Coupled with his pale skin, all he needs is a collage of freckles to classify him as a stereotypical redhead. Blue contrasts with the red, drawing people's gaze from his hair and to his deep blue eyes. | 10th |
ABILITIES: | This ability is a weak form of invisibility. Except, unlike invisibility, if he draws attention to himself he's completely opaque. What this ability allows him to do is create a perception filter between himself and people. It fools their mind into reasoning that he can't exist. Common sounds that can blend into the background, such as breathing and walking slowly, go undetected because it doesn't startle people's brain enough to reevaluate his existence. If this ability were portrayed, it would probably look like a layer of an invisible force field around him, though there are no protective qualities. It would fit around him completely, but lose shape if he moved too quickly, which allows people to glimpse him. Once they saw him they'd wonder why they were just seeing him for the first time, and their mind would reconsider his exisence and be forced to accept him into its perception of the world. Often, this leaves people unsettled. Enhanced sight of a species does not allow them to detect him any better than a human, because he's not fooling their eyes: they can see him always. He fools their mind. In a way he's an impossible thing that's presence is discredited and overlooked. | PERCEPTION FILTER |
ASSESSMENT: | Chase is a show-off. He's reckless, unwilling to take time to consider consequences. One important fact is, the adrenaline drives him more than the attention. That means that he's not easily swayed by peer pressure. Then again, his peers do tend to have appealingly limited grasps of physic to match his own. Their 'logic' behind different stunts and why they'll work in his favor is sometimes encouragement enough. First or third person personality, must be at least 200 words.
